Modern Worship
Sundays 10:30 AM

Our time of worship together incorporates contemporary elements in a structured, yet relaxed atmosphere with family and friends. This service blends great worship music and visually engaging elements to be used together to exalt Christ and draw us deeper into worship. The primary music style is contemporary worship songs, although we might slip a hymn in from time to time.

The setting is relaxed and casual. Most members of Good Sam dress in casual or business casual attire. We encourage you to wear whatever is most comfortable for you. And while you will receive a warm welcome at Good Sam, you will never be singled out as a visitor.

The teaching portion of the worship service is inspirational, engaging and designed to connect our lives to the truths found within the scriptures. Individuals are encouraged to bring their own Bibles and take notes. We believe in the historic teachings of our church and hold Scripture to be the infallible word of God.

We’re excited that you’ve decided to get to know us! Good Sam is a passionate community of believers committed to being prayerful, cultivating relationships, and serving others with compassion. (Luke 25-37) We invite you to come and experience how God is working in and through Good Samaritan UMC.
Grace and Peace, Tod
At Good Samaritan UMC, we believe children are vital to the life of our congregation, and we are intentional about providing worship opportunities for them, both during the Communion Service, on the first Sunday of each month, and during Children’s Worship on the other Sundays of each month. Children’s Worship occurs in the Quad (located down the hallway, to the left of the lobby) simultaneously with the service in the sanctuary.  Children’s Activity Bulletins and crayons are also provided during Communion Sunday, for them to participate in active learning that goes along with the sermon.  During the Children’s Worship time, the children participate in age appropriate praise and worship videos, Bible videos, games, arts and crafts, missions videos and activities, and snacks that all tie in with the lesson.

Nursery is available for all children up to 3 years of age during worship service.

Parents are invited to visit our nursery, outfitted with a changing table, cribs, a bouncer, and a rocking chair, available to parents to bring their infants during the service, if needed.  An intercom speaker transmits the service, in real time, into the nursery for the  benefit of the parents.

At Good Sam, we celebrate open communion and all are welcome to come to the table. Communion is typically served the first Sunday of each month. We invite children to participate in communion with their families and experience God’s grace in a tangible way. No children’s program is offered on communion Sundays.
