Alleluia! Christ is risen. The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia! 

Colossians 3:1-2 
(The Message)

So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.

You, Oh Lord, have seen our needs. You show us mercy, and forgive our sins, and reconcile us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Strengthen us to live in the power of the Holy Spirit, all our days.

 

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Alleluia and Amen!

Matthew 15:21-28 (NIV)

21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

 

Our Father in heaven, holy is your name,your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into testing, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Show us your mercy, O Lord; And give us your salvation. Clothe your humble servants with righteousness; Let your people sing with joy. Give peace, O Lord, in all the world; For only in you can we live in safety. Lord, keep this nation under your care; And guide us in the way of justice and truth. Let your way be known upon earth; Your saving health among all nations. Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten; Nor the hope of the poor be taken away. Create in us clean hearts, O God; And sustain us with your Holy Spirit.

 

Suggestions to pray for:

  • The Universal Church, its members, and its mission
  • The Nation and all in authority 
  • The welfare of the world 
  • The concerns of the local community
  • Those who suffer and those in any trouble

 

Heavenly Father, in you we live, move and have our being: We humbly ask for your Holy Spirit’s guidance in all our cares; May our busyness never lead us to forget you; Remind us that we are always walking in your sight and that’s a good thing; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV)

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Most merciful God, it’s true we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your name.

Almighty God, to truly know You is everlasting life: Help us to know Your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may loyally follow in His steps to eternal life; through Jesus Christ Your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, on God, for ever and ever.

May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing through the power of the Holy Spirit (Rom 15:13). Alleluia and Amen!
